Allan Wilson - The Iona Community in Scotland

The task: Helping the professional youth workers with two very different groups:-

• Young Offenders
• 10-15 year olds

Allan’s Report: I have very much enjoyed my short time at Camas, learning many new skills and finding new abilities. My confidence in myself and in my ability to successfully interact with all different types of people has improved immensely. I have enjoyed the freedom and trust awarded to me, especially in leadership situations, and learned a lot of valuable lessons in all areas of life. The opportunity to work so closely with younger children from different backgrounds has been fantastic as this is something I would not normally have a chance to do. I have loved every minute of working at Camas and have some brilliant memories. I look forward to one day returning and undertaking more challenges !
