Marketing Workshop November 2009
Rank Fellowship Marketing Workshop
11 November 2009
Lindsey Clay kindly organised the second Fellowship Marketing Workshop on 11 November in the impressive boardroom at Thinkbox TV. Eight charities sent representatives: The Feathers' Association, Kith and Kids, The Rosemary Foundation, Salmon Centre, Sir Oswald Stoll Foundation, Student Hubs, the Young People's Project and Viva. Several attendees came along as a direct result of the Charities Evening.
Simon Tunstill, Head of PR at Thinkbox gave a "Bluffer's Guide to PR", a helpful guide as to how to approach PR and to get the best out of it for one's organisation. Lindsey herself presented a discussion session on developing a marketing and communications strategy, while the third presentation of the afternoon involved Emma Watson-Mack, who drew on her considerable experience at Barclay's and Goldman Sachs to talk about the organisation of great events.
The afternoon drew together a wide range of charities and their representatives clearly valued the professional advice they received.
"Thank you so much for today Mike and I got tons from it and in time, it would be good to come back and show you what we have done with the information we gained today."
"It is invaluable to us to have this kind of support and information."
"What a fascinating day you gave us yesterday. Thank you so much for a very interesting and helpful afternoon. I came home feeling quite inspired by the whole thing."
