More Community Action Placement Reports
It has been the usual busy summer for School Fellows on their Community Action Placements. Following Yasmin Lamb's self-help community placement with East Cleveland, Tom Walsh from Glasgow has been tackling the same sort of work, not far down the road in Middlesborough, with Community Campus 87. Tom's report here pays tribute to the dedication of the Community Campus team, pictured above, and emphasises the enormous value of the work they do. It's good to know that he plans to continue his association with the project.
Ollie Fergusson, also from Scotland, thoroughly enjoyed his placement with SPY in Ashton-under-Lyne. He found it really helpful to observe a different style of leadership from that which he knows at school and he learnt a great deal about urban issues and Muslim values. His report can be found here..
Many congratulations to these two Fellows on their contributions during their placement: both received glowing reports. The Fellowship is very grateful to their hosts and to Natasha Heny at the Hebden Bridge office for making these placements possible.
