Film with Fellowship Connections

A new film with significant Fellowship involvement has received terrific reviews in the London Film Festival and now goes on general release.   One reviewer describes the film as "the textbook definition of a crowd-pleaser" and goes on to say "Director Danny Boyle - working from Simon Beaufoy's screenplay - has infused the film with an incredibly vivid visual sensibility that's certainly reflected in the briskly-paced storyline, with the ingenious use of flashbacks filling in the traumatic childhood of the central character".

Simon Beaufoy is a Rank Fellow who has contributed memorably to the Leadership Day in the past, while Danny Boyle is the brother-in-law of David McCausland, Fellow and Steering Committee stalwart.   There is no doubt that "Slumdog Millionaire" will be a tremendous success in cinemas this winter: the film's Fellowship connections make that all the more satisfying.
