Fellow's Rugby Triumph
Warm congratulations to Rank Fellow Phil Dowson who has just led his Northampton team to their first major domestic cup triumph in their history. Northampton defeated Gloucester 30-24 in the LV Cup Final recently, a result which sparked off the scenes of jubilation shown in our photograph and which guaranteed Northampton a place in the 2010/2011 Heineken Cup.
Phil, who moved from Newcastle to Northampton and who has become an influential captain at Franklin's Gardens, was in euphoric mood after the game. "It's massive for us," he said. "We set our targets at the start of the year and this is the first one we've achieved."
We are delighted for Phil who has always been a very positive force within the Fellowship and in his involvement in community initiatives.
