Cornish Placement: Well Worth It
Marco Boodramsingh, a Leadership Award holder at Worth School, enjoyed an excellent Community Action Placement at the Newquay Christian Centre over the Easter holidays. He was described as "a real asset both to the staff and to the young people we work with".
Marco is planning to study medicine at university and he felt that his stay in Newquay really helped his communication skills and broadened the range of his experience, two important skills for being a successful doctor. He greatly enjoyed his stay, he learned how youth work helps a community and he learned some surfing slang!
