Carols for an admirable cause

Antonia Packard's Carol Service at St Pancras New Church in London was a resounding success.

The church, in Euston Road, was filled to the rafters by carol singers pledging to continue the vital work of eliminating domestic violence. Brilliantly organized by Antonia and Tessa Packard on behalf of the Sara Charlton Charitable Foundation, the evening saw a fantastic show of support for their work and that of CAADA, the charity for Coordinated Action Against Domestic Abuse. The congregation heard a call to arms by Baroness Scotland and a harrowing personal tale about a domestic violence tragedy, while the extraordinary Maria Fidelis Choir lightened the mood with punchy gospel renderings of Yuletide favorites, making for an incredible atmosphere.
